Held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in Kitakami " as an Event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, JapanOn July 27, 2024, we held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in Kitakami", Iwate.
This event was cohosted by Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and Japan Material Co., Ltd.. In the event, parents and children discussed about "living in harmony with nature and creatures" through the picture book "Hotaru no Hikari wo Tsunagumono" written by Dr. Fukuoka, also called "Fukuoka Hakase". This was the fourth reading session following those held at Komono Town, Mie Prefecture in November 2022, in Mombetsu City, Hokkaido in February 2023 and Ozu Town, Kumamoto in August 2023.
Ms. Hanako Jimi, Minister for the World Expo, visited the venue. The picture book was read by Ms. Jimi, Fukuoka Hakase and some members of broadcasting club, Iwate Prefectural Kurosawajiri Kita High School. The event included a talk session in which Fukuoka Hakase answered children's questions about living creatures, and a quiz contest using projection mapping. The venue was filled with excitement from the audience of 330 people, and became even more over excited with the presence of "Wanko Siblings (mascot of Iwate Prefecture)" and "Onimaru-kun (mascot of Kitakami City)"!

Held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in Ozu," as an Event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, JapanOn August 6, 2023, we held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in Ozu", Kumamoto.
This event was cohosted by Japan Assoiciation for the 2025 World Exposition, Ozu Town, Ozu Town Board of Education and Japan Material Co., Ltd.. In the event, parents and children discussed about "living in harmony with nature and creatures" through the picutre book "Hotaru no Hikari wo Tsunagumono" written by Dr. Fukuoka, also called "Fukuoka Hakase". This was the third reading session following those held in Komono, Mie Prefecture November 2022 and in Mombetsu City, Hokkaido in February 2023.
The event included a picture book reading by Fukuoka Hakase, a talk session in which Fukuoka Hakase answered children's questions about living creatures, and a quiz contest using projection mapping. The venue was filled with excitement from the audience of about 300 people, and became even more over excited with the presence of "Kumamon" and "Karaimo-kun (mascot character of Ozu Town)"!
Prior to the event, Ozu Liburary and elementary school libraries in Ozu Town also actively cooperated to set up special display corners for the picture book. We appreciate the cooperation of Ozu town and the elementary school libraries!
Cooperated elementary schools are: Ozu Elementary School, Ozu Kita Elementary School, Misakino Elementary School, Muro Elementary School, Morikawa Elementary School (Japanese alpabetical order)

Held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in KOMONO," as an Event for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, JapanOn October 23, 2022, we held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in KOMONO."
This event was co-hosted by Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and Japan Material Co., Ltd.. In the event, parents and children discussed about "living in harmoney with nature and creatures" through the picture book "Hotaru no Hikari wo Tsunagumono" written by Dr. Fukuoka, also called "Fukuoka Hakase." We invited anchor Ms. Takako Zenba as a special guest. Fukuoka Hakase and Ms. Zenba recited the picture book and had a working session based on the children's experience of interacting with "nature and creatures", and participated in a quiz competition on projection mapping. The venue was filled with excitement from the audience of about 320 people (120 children and 200 adults). The audience also had the opportunity to hear about the Osaka, Kansai Expo, and the image of the Expo being held in three years' time grew in their minds!
✿Sections for Children✿
1) Sharing experience interact with "nature and creatures" such as plant, animals and insects
A working session with Fukuoka Hakase and Ms. Zenba with children was held based on the children's experience interacting with "nature and creatures" .
2) Drawing nature and creatures by tablets
The Illustrations drawn by children by the tablets were appeared in the projection mapping in the program!!
3) Experiencing hologram and special monitor
4) Experiencing AR of insects
Children enjoyed the AR experience in their seats, in which insects were appeared when they read the AR markers with their smart phones.

Donated QUO cards to medical workers responding to COVID-19 in Mie Prefecture.
We would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to all those who have been infected COVID-19 and who are experiencing difficult circumstances due to the pandemic. Our deep gratitude once again goes to medical staff who are working night and day on the frontlines to protect people’s lives and health.
As part of our CSR activities and to convey our gratitude for their support, we donated QUO cards to approximately 7,000 medical workers caring for COVID-19 patients at 24 hospitals in Mie Prefecture. The cards have been donated through Mie Hospital Association.
JM Group is working together with customers, business partners, employees, and other stakeholders to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As a responsible member of society, we will continue to take countermeasures and sincerely hope that the global pandemic will be brought under control soon. -

Held the 12th JAPAN MATERIAL Group Family EventOn November 9, 2019, we held "12th JAPAN MATERIAL Group Family Event" at our headquarters in Komono-cho, Mie. We hold this event every year to promote interaction between the community, the employees and families of the JM Group. This year, about 300 people joined the event in fine autumn weather. The event included some vibrant and exciting performances by an police dog from the local police station, and by the local Yosakoi dance team and Tsugaru Shamisen group, and booths organized by employees.
JM Group actively employs Vietnamese engineers as permanent employees, therefore we set up a Vietnam booth at this year’s event to introduce Vietnamese culture. The booth served Vietnamese dishes, displayed traditional costumes, and held a rock-paper-scissors contest, all of which helped deepen interaction with visitors. -
Volunteering at local community events
Join as volunteer staff of Suzuka Kamoshika Half Marathon held in Komono-cho, Mie (JM headquarters base).

Local Community Cleanup
Joins local community cleanup as part of our CSR project. We collect and separate trash into combustible waste, non-combustible waste, bottles, cans, and plastic bottles.

Solar Panels on Headquarters Factory
In 2007, we introduced solar power generation to help prevent global warming. The panels can generate an average 300 kWh/day, which is equivalent to 20 regular homes.

Parking lot to conserve satoyama
To conserve local satoyama (woodlands) to create areas where local people and employees could relax, we signed a long-term lease on approximately 6,600㎡ of land. A portion of the land is used as an employee parking lot.

CSR Project Team
On October 20, 2008, established a team to build CSR projects' vision and plans. The team memebers were internally recruited and selected by directors and the CSR secretariats.

Provided CSR-related training and education programs for all the Group employees to share common awarness about the project.
