Held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in KOMONO," as Osaka, Kansai Expo EventOn October 23, 2022, we held "Fukuoka Hakase's Reading Session in KOMONO."
This event was co-hosted by Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and Japan Material Co., Ltd.. In the event, parents and children discussed about "living in harmoney with nature and creatures" through the picture book "Hotaru no Hikari wo Tsunagumono" written by Dr. Fukuoka, also called "Fukuoka Hakase." We invited anchor Ms. Takako Zenba as a special guest. Fukuoka Hakase and Ms. Zenba recited the picture book and had a working session based on the children's experience of interacting with "nature and creatures", and participated in a quiz competition on projection mapping. The venue was filled with excitement from the audience of about 320 people (120 children and 200 adults). Held the 12th JAPAN MATERIAL Group Family EventOn November 9, 2019, we held "12th JAPAN MATERIAL Group Family Event" at our headquarters in Komono-cho, Mie. We hold this event every year to promote interaction between the community, the employees and families of the JM Group. This year, about 300 people joined the event in fine autumn weather. The event included some vibrant and exciting performances by an police dog from the local police station, and by the local Yosakoi dance team and Tsugaru Shamisen group, and booths organized by employees.
JM Group actively employs Vietnamese engineers as permanent employees, therefore we set up a Vietnam booth at this year’s event to introduce Vietnamese culture. The booth served Vietnamese dishes, displayed traditional costumes, and held a rock-paper-scissors contest, all of which helped deepen interaction with visitors. -
